Our most recent Ofsted inspection, conducted on the 1st and 2nd October 2024, rated the school as the following:

Strengths Highlighted:

The college has high expectations for behaviour. Students report a calm learning environment where they feel safe and supported.

Pupils appreciate recent improvements in behaviour policies and the support they receive when raising concerns, such as bullying.

A wide range of extracurricular opportunities is available, including sports, drama, music, and leadership roles.

Personal development is a real strength, with age-appropriate education on relationships, safety, and life skills such as driver awareness.

The school has made improvements in attendance monitoring and in support for pupils with SEND, especially those in the specialist resource base.

Safeguarding is effective, with a strong culture of care across the school.
Areas for Development:

Some pupils, including those with SEND and low literacy levels, need better targeted support to access the curriculum effectively.

Assessment methods need improvement to better identify and address gaps in learning.

More tailored guidance is needed to help students choose the most appropriate and challenging courses at Key Stage 4 and Post-16.

Many of the school's improvement strategies are newly introduced. Leaders must now focus on embedding and evaluating these changes to ensure long-term impact.
