Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award at Bodmin College is an adventure in personal growth, offering students the chance to challenge themselves, develop new skills, and make a real difference. The programme is made up of four exciting elements:

  • Volunteering – giving your time to help others and your community
  • Physical – taking part in a regular activity to stay active and healthy
  • Skills – mastering something new and discovering hidden talents
  • Expedition – embarking on an adventurous hike or journey

At Bodmin College, we run both the Bronze and Silver Awards. Students can start Bronze in Year 9, then progress to Silver in Year 10. The DofE isn’t just an award – it’s an unforgettable journey that builds confidence, resilience, and memories that last a lifetime.
