Hello! We're the Peer Mentors at Bodmin College, and we want to say a massive welcome. We're excited that you're about to become part of our school community - it's a brilliant place to learn, grow and have fun.

Bodmin College is changing in really exciting ways - from the way we learn to how we celebrate achievements. One of the things we're most excited about right now is the new rewards system, which is designed to recognise all the fantastic things students do here, every single day.

We know what it's like to move up from primary school - it can feel like a big step. Just a year ago, we were in your shoes, wondering how we'd ever find our way around a much bigger school. But trust us - you'll get the hang of it really quickly! Everyone here, from the staff to the students, is kind and helpful. And now that we've had specialist training as Peer Mentors, we'll be here to guide and support you from day one.

You'll have brilliant teachers who'll help you in every subject and a tutor group where you'll check in every morning. Your tutor will help you feel organised, supported and ready for the day ahead.

One of the best things about Bodmin College is how many opportunities there are to get involved. Whether it's playing in a sports team, joining Music or Dance club, taking part in Shine Drama, or trying something totally different like Creative Writing Club - there's something for everyone. Saying “yes” to these things helped us settle in and meet new friends, and we'd definitely recommend you give them a go.

We'll be visiting your school soon and are looking forward to meeting you in person. We'll be happy to answer any questions you have - honestly! No question is too small, and we'll be there to help you feel confident and excited about your first day.
