Parent & carer Support

Together, we can achieve more. As students grow in independence, the partnership between parents and school becomes even more important. By contributing your time, skills, or ideas, you can help shape a positive, supportive community where every child can succeed.

Supporting Learning

  • Helping with reading programmes or literacy initiatives.
  • Assisting with careers events by talking about your profession.
  • Supporting STEM, arts, or language enrichment activities.
  • Helping supervise revision sessions or study clubs (where appropriate)

School Events

  • Volunteering at open evenings.
  • Helping with school productions, concerts, and exhibitions.
  • Assisting at sports days and tournaments.
  • Supporting fundraising events such as fairs, raffles, or charity challenges

Student Support

  • Helping with Duke of Edinburgh Award activities.
  • Supporting extracurricular clubs if you have a relevant skill (e.g. photography, coding, chess, gardening).
  • Assisting with educational trips as a volunteer, where appropriate.
  • Supporting charity events.

Careers & Employability

Parents often have valuable experience they can share by:

  • Giving careers talks.
  • Offering workplace visits.
  • Providing work experience placements.
  • Conducting mock interviews.
  • Helping students develop CVs and interview skills.

Community & Wellbeing

  • Helping organise community projects.
  • Supporting wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assisting with environmental or gardening projects.
  • Promoting attendance and positive school-home communication.
