RE: January Lockdown
It is with much regret and sadness that I find myself writing again with further updates and changes so soon after my last letter on New Year’s Eve. A lot has happened in the past few days and every time I write, it seems to be out-of-date before I can press send, such is the fast-changing pace of the situation. As find ourselves in another National Lockdown, I know you will share my concerns about our children and how their education will be affected. I write to offer you as much reassurance as I can that we will continue to do our utmost to support your child and your family as always.
- In accordance with government guidance, Bodmin College will remain closed to all students, except vulnerable students and children of key workers, until further notice.
- The remote learning for all students as outlined in my letter on 31st December 2020 has now been extended until further notice.
- Students expecting to do examinations this January have been written to separately. We are awaiting government guidance regarding the summer exams.

The Satchel:One (previously ShowMyHomework) provision will continue as it has this week, with a range of personalised resources to meet every individual need.
We appreciate that not everyone has access to the technology or space required to participate in multiple live sessions so our remote learning is designed to be flexible yet meeting the needs of every student through a personalised but accessible approach. We appreciate your feedback and also ask that if you are experiencing difficulties with online learning that you please complete a short survey so that we can improve access for all students.
