Arrangements for the Easter Holidays (Monday 30th March to Monday 13th April)
Once again, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to you for your continued understanding and support during this period. We recognise that it is a difficult time and that government restrictions and school closures will be affecting families in various different ways.
For those who have been accessing remote learning, this will end on Friday 27th March for the Easter holidays. Teachers will not be setting activities on SMHW through the holiday, although students will still have access to tasks which have been previously set, if they would like to continue to work on them during this time. Online learning will resume on Tuesday 14th April.
During the holidays, the college will continue to be closed to all students, except for vulnerable students and children of key workers. In these cases, those parents who have already been using this facility have been contacted separately with regards to booking childcare places.
We know that this will not be a ‘normal’ Easter holiday for families and therefore we have compiled a list of suggestions (see attached), which may give you some inspiration for activities that can be done at home. Please ensure that whatever you do, you adhere to the government guidance regarding social distancing: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/875246/Full_guidance_on_staying_at_home_and_away_from_others__1_.pdf
Remember, if you qualify for Free School Meals, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org by 12.00noon Friday 27th March 2020 to arrange collection/delivery of your food box.
It has been a worrying and difficult time for everyone. Please continue to keep safe and we will be in contact with more information, if anything changes.
Very kindest regards,
Mrs Emmie Seward-Adams
