Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to you as parents and carers for your overwhelming support and understanding at a time when you will be facing significant challenges of your own. The pace and nature of this situation is unprecedented. It requires us all to respond and adapt quickly to ever-changing challenges in order to fulfil much wider responsibilities than ever before.

At this time, we appreciate that good communication is essential to minimise uncertainty and to keep everyone informed. We appreciate that you may have questions and would ask, where possible, that you raise non-urgent enquiries through the ‘Contact Us’ form on the college website. In response, we will compile and update a list of FAQs that will be available on our website and/or via email.

Overnight the government announced information regarding education and care provision for key worker and vulnerable children. The list of key workers is far greater than schools were expecting. A copy of this guidance is also available on the website.

  • If you have already registered as a key worker via the survey link sent yesterday, then you will be contacted with confirmation of your child’s place and relevant details, including their start date.
  • If you have not yet registered as a key worker and now believe your child to be eligible under key worker categories, and you have no other available provision, please apply via the following link:

We regret to say that due to the timescale, the planning required and staff uncertainty, that we are unable to confirm when provision for new applicants will commence, but will contact you directly with a start date and relevant information. We appreciate the difficulty this may cause but we must consider student safety and wellbeing alongside our commitment to the community.

Thank you once again for your support and understanding.

Mrs Emmie Seward-Adams
