"From my visits to the course, it is quite clear that academic support of the students is outstanding. One of the strengths of having a relatively small cohort of students, is that they can receive high levels of individual support. It is quite evident to me that each student on the course feels understood and respected by the course tutors, and is responding well to this level of support."
In conjunction with Falmouth University, Bodmin College are pleased to offer an FdA Digital Media course.
A two-year Foundation Degree influenced by, and a product of the emerging practices and technologies of Digital Design & Arts Industries. On completion students have the option of a 3rd year at Falmouth to top up to a BA (Hons). In partnership with Falmouth University this muliti-disciplined course fosters collaboration and experimentation, fusing traditional and digital media to shape new forms of communication.
FdA Digital Media is for students with a passion for creative technology, media production and computing, offering a vibrant home for photographers, filmmakers, designers, artists, gamers, writers and other image-makers.
Live industry projects, working alongside local and international clients provide invaluable professional contexts in which to develop your ideas and portfolio. Collaborative projects with students from Falmouth University, and guidance from specialist tutors, will offer the broad multidiscipline approach, central to future success in the industry. Our visiting lecturer program involves regular industry practitioners visiting us every Wednesday throughout the year (2 of whom have recently filmed for Lucas Films behind the scenes of the latest Star Wars).
Highly motivated staff, with a passion to support innovative learning, encourage risk taking and experimentation at all stages of the creative process, and support the application of skills to new and emerging markets and contexts.
